Getting organized {Creating a workflow}

24.2.12
#26. from my 101 list was to Organize Inbox. But I decided to take it upon myself to expand that organization into other areas to make my life a little easier. I find I work so much better when I create an organized system. So, it was time for me to get more organized. I probably should have posted before and after pictures but my inbox and my laptop desktop were a hot mess!! So, they were the first to go! I deleted all unnecessary emails, all unnecessary folders and created a way for me to find things easier and faster.
Then I took it upon my self to finally finish my DIY camera Suitcase, a crafty way to keep myself more organized. A little while ago I did a DIY handbag for my camera and I loved it. So I tried recreating that look with this suitcase. And so far, it has worked wonders and has served as a great storage of some of my equipment in the meantime.
Then finally I created my wedding workflow chart. I found a workflow template from Photography Concentrate, check it out here. You can really use it for anything( weddings, senior,etc….). I plan to use it to keep myself on task. I just put the document in a frame so I can use a white board marker to check things on the list, so I can keep reusing it. So, these are some of the things I have done to keep myself organized. What things do you do? I love hearing about creative ways to stay organized.
If you have any questions with any of the things above, feel free to ask
When Passion meets Reality

14.2.12
When we were younger we had big dreams and aspirations. I think I used to dream of being in the group Destiny’s Child. Me, my sisters and my cousins would bust out the karaoke machine and pretend the stuffed animals were our audience. But unfortunately after several arguments of who get’s to sing Beyonce’s part our band slowly began declining( to say the least).
But despite that unfortunate incidence I believe that as we get older and come to face with the reality of life our imagination and our hopeful dreams slowly start to get buried. Buried behind( I can’t, but what if, it’s impossible, or it’s to hard). But what is so great is that our passion and excitement from when we were younger is still there! Of course I still don’t have dreams to be in Destiny’s Child but I now have dreams and aspirations that excite me .And when we decide to let it out and allow ourselves to follow it amazing things happen.
I believe When passion meets reality we become overwhelmed
- When passion meets reality our discouragement is taken more to the heart
- When passion meets reality we have to figure out how to balance life
- When passion meets reality we become harder on ourselves
But on the flip side
- When passion meets reality we begin to walk in the destiny that God has for us.
- When passion meets reality we discover ourselves
- When passion meet reality life starts making sense
- When passion meets reality we realize we can’t do it ourselves
- When passion meets reality we have the opportunity to reach our fullest potential
What are you most passionate about? When you discover that don’t let it go!

Oh-my-goodness, I am so excited to be blogging again. I think I suffered a little bit from blogging withdrawal. If that’s even a condition. If its not whatever I always make up my own stuff. I took a little break in January so I could spend the time really developing my business. Photography really just happened so fast and I realized that I needed to step back and really develop my brand/ business before I got to overwhelmed. I am so thankful for all of those who really poured into me this last month regarding business, faith and really discovering my identity with Christ. I’ll try to blog most of that journey but I am truly thankful and I really hope/plan to pay it forward. During that process I decided to write down some goals and I had seen this 101 in 1001 floating around on other blogs. So, I decided why not. I’ve heard that if you actually write down your goals and give yourself a deadline, you end up doing more then if you hadn’t. So, I caved in and wrote my own. But okay, I admit I am really excited to start checking stuff off the list. And if you have one or if you decide to start one, post the link( I would love to read it!). Also, I of course did spend time doing a few shoots that I definitely plan on sharing on the blog. I am so excited for 2012! And for those who take the time to read my blog, I just want to say I am truly thankful and I definitely plan on doing a blog reader giveaway on the blog( so be on the lookout, it’s going to be aweeesoomme!).
