So I decided that it would be great for me to go back to my 101 in 1001 list I made back in February. Thinking of course that I would have crossed off a lot of things on that list. Well that dream quickly died. It’s actually quite funny because over the past few months I had accomplished some new things, now realizing that none of them were on the list. Making it now 201 in 1001. But after 4 months here are some of the things I’ve gotten done!
Today I am thankful for so many things. My amazing family that have done nothing but allow me to be myself. My crazy friends that always keep me in check, support me , and keep my spirits up. The people I have been blessed to work with, who fully trust me as I capture them during special moments in their life.
There is always so much more I feel like I should be doing and I appreciate all of these people who continue to push me and encourage me to go further as I trust God to take me there.
Beautiful!! The weather has been absolutely amazing recently therefore Tis the season to wear dresses!

I honestly don’t even know where to start with this trip. In the blink of an eye the trip was over but I can honestly say I had such an amazing time. The trip started off with a flight from Chicago to our layover in Las Vegas. Strangely enough the first place I ran to was to the food court to find myself a fruit smoothie. Seriously I can’t get enough. And of course I had to play one of the slots. Lost a dollar but left with my head held high! haha
We finally got to Portland and I have to say that city is gorgeous. I honestly had a little bit of a culture shock because the vibe of the whole place is COMPLETELY different from Chicago. Very very Chill I guess is the best way I can describe Portland. But being that we were only able to be downtown and take pictures for a little while I didn’t really get the chance to scope out the atmosphere. Our last stop was the Move premiere for Blue like Jazz. I cannot thank them enough for offering this amazing trip. And I was so blessed to be able to meet some of the actors in the movie and to personally thanks those involved. The movie was honestly phenominal. I already put it on my must buy dvd list. It’s a story of self discovery, a story that asks questions that I believe we have all asked at one point in our lives. So glad to be involved in something like this! And Portland until next time!
Stomach pain and back pain seemed to have awaited me this week. Most of the time I spent laying in bed heavily medicated. Also, another reason why I didn’t post an outfit post this week( trust me, you’ve been spared). But it’s times like these that I am reminded of what an incredible family that I have. From coming with me to the hospital, bringing me Jamba Juice, to staying with me in my room, while I laid there watching Golden girls my family had my back this week. I am finally feeling so much better but I can’t thank my family enough and I truly feel blessed more than words can express.
Song obssession: If you haven’t seen this video it’s pretty amazing. A friend of mine showed this to me and it’s become a song I absolutely love. I love a good cover.

I’m such a sucker when it come to reality Tv shows. Half the time I end up thinking ( do people really act like this?). But I guess that is kind of what makes it entertaining. This week I thought I would do a little post on some of my favorite shows that I basically watch religiously every week . Don’t judge me, but first on the list is Dance Moms.
Dance moms
I seriously CANNOT get enough of this show! Although a lot of times I do have to question 1. Are they serious and 2. What do these kids think of their moms? But being that I was in the dance world for over 6 years, I can TESTIFY that dance moms can be a little intense and if not just plain crazzzyy. But I found this hilarious parody on youtube that I had to share! I’m still cracking up and if you haven’t seen Dance Moms go watch an episode then watch this!
The Housewives
I don’t know what it is about these “reality shows” but I am soo hooked. Another one of my favorites are The Bravo Housewives. Admittedly it’s a guilty pleasure. But I am honestly hoping that when I get that age, I will not be acting like that…. But for now it’s kind of entertaining.
I really have never really been big on these music competition shows. They all just started to blend together. But there are two singing shows that got me hooked from the first episode one being The Voice and second being The Sing off( hoping there is another season of this show coming). I think both of these shows are brilliant and are soo successful because of their uniqueness. There is crazy amazing talent on these shows and I just can’t get enough. Plus I always discover a new song.
Here is one of my favorites from yesterdays show. This will also be included as this weeks Song Obsession!
Have a great Tuesday!
